This workshop is designed for parents and staff at Laughlin Children’s Center to gain a deeper understanding of sensory processing and how our brains interpret sensory information.
Topics include:
- What is Sensory Processing?
- Overview of the 8 Sensory Systems
- Identifying Signs of Over- and Under-Reactive Systems (proprioceptive, vestibular, tactile)
- Practical Regulating Activities for Home
Workshop Goal:
To provide education on the role of Occupational Therapy in sensory processing and to help parents and staff recognize when sensory challenges go beyond typical developmental behaviors.
