An Early Literacy Play Date is a fun and welcoming event designed for preschool-age children and their caregivers. Families will enjoy a shared story time\, interactive play activities\, and free play while learning simple ways to support early literacy development at home. \nLed by Speech-Language Pathologists\, this relaxed and social gathering helps families explore how everyday play builds strong foundations for reading\, writing\, and communication. Families will also have time to ask questions and learn more about early learning and child development. \nEvent Goals\n\nEducate families about the importance of early literacy through play-based learning\nProvide an opportunity for families to ask questions and learn in a relaxed\, supportive setting\n\nTopics Covered\n\nEarly literacy skills\nEarly speech and language milestones\nThe role of play-based learning in child development\n\nWho Should Attend\nPreschool-age children and a caregiver are welcome to attend. \nQuestions\nFor more information\, contact Amanda at\na.byerly@laughlincenter.org. \nRegistration is closed for this event
