DESCRIPTION:Helping Students Reinforce Foundational Reading Skills and Feel Ready for the New School Year\nProgram Type: Summer Reading Group\nDates: August 3–6 and August 10–13\, 2026\nSchedule: Monday – Thursday\, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM\nTotal Sessions: 8 group meetings\nCost: $190\nMaximum Enrollment: 8 students\nRegistration Deadline: June 29\, 2026 \nProgram Goal\nThis small-group summer reading program provides review and practice for students entering Grades 1–3. The goal is to strengthen foundational literacy skills so students feel confident and prepared for the upcoming school year. \nProgram Description\nStudents will work with certified teachers experienced in Structured Literacy. Instruction uses multi-sensory and hands-on learning techniques to strengthen reading development and improve fluency. \nParticipants will practice skills that support stronger letter-sound understanding\, reading accuracy\, spelling\, and recognition of high-frequency words. \nSkills Covered\nStudents will practice and reinforce: \n\nLetter–sound relationships\nPhonological awareness skills\nWord reading\nSpelling\nReading fluency\n\nQuestions\nFor questions about the program\, please contact:\nRachael Troglio\nr.troglio@laughlincenter.org \n\nRegister Now
