About the Program

This two-session parent group is designed for families raising children and teens with ADHD. ADHD is more than inattention, low motivation, or impulsivity—it reflects challenges in the development of executive functioning skills. This series helps parents better understand these challenges and provides practical tools to support their child’s growth.

Each session includes a 40-minute presentation (with some video content), followed by a guided Q&A discussion tailored to the needs of participating families. The goal is to create both an informative and supportive environment for parents navigating similar experiences.

Topics Covered

  • The nature of ADHD: underlying deficits and developmental expectations
  • Executive functioning skills and how they are impacted
  • The critical role of parent mindset in supporting development
  • Practical strategies to help children build executive functioning skills

Session Details

Each session runs approximately 60–75 minutes and includes time for group discussion and questions.
