Helping you and your loved ones overcome obstacles to success.

The psychology department at Laughlin Children’s Center offers services to students, along with their families. Our highly qualified professionals, certified and/or licensed, have many years of experience in helping children overcome obstacles to success. They have expertise in learning issues, developmental and clinical psychology, and professional counseling—a unique perspective that enables them to rely on best practices and focus treatment on the “whole child.”

The two primary areas of service are:

  • diagnostic evaluation of issues that impact children’s learning, such as difficulty focusing attention, trouble with learning concepts in school, or test-related anxiety;
  • assessment and treatment of mental health concerns, such as anxious or depressed mood, low self-esteem, or trouble getting along with others.
